ARXX deliver empowering message with new single "Swim"

Brighton-based duo ARXX have unveiled their latest single, "Swim," a heartfelt ode to self-acceptance and gender affirmation. Giving fans the latest taste of their sophomore album Good Boy out 4 October via Submarine Cat Records.

Vocalist Hanni Pidduck (they/them) wrote the track as a letter to their younger self after coming out as non-binary last year. The song is a powerful reminder that the journey of self-discovery and acceptance is both challenging and deeply rewarding.

Speaking about the track Pidduck said:

““Swim” is meant to be a sonic hug for anyone struggling with their gender identity. I wish I had seen more representation when I was younger. The world isn’t always a safe place for trans people, but with this song, I wanted to express the joy of learning who you are.”

Good Boy, ARXX’s second album, reflects the band’s growth not only as musicians but as individuals. The duo, made up of Pidduck and drummer Clara Townsend (she/her), has spent the last 18 months embracing their identities and delivering this newfound freedom through their music. Their live shows, described as safe spaces for both the band and the audience, have been celebrated for their infectious energy and queer joy.

ARXX will be hitting the road this October for a headline tour across the UK and Europe, with shows selling out quickly. Tickets for their remaining dates can be purchased via the band’s website.
